Job Mission/Purpose

Job Mission:

The Strategy Manager will be supporting the Team Leaders of the Corporate Strategy Team by providing and supplementing ideas, giving insights and information, identifying, structuring and framing problem solving, and conducting and reviewing analysis. The Strategy Manager will play a leadership role in the development of the Portfolio and SBU-level Strategies of the Aboitiz Group, and provide leadership on CSU planning as needed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Run Strategy Process - The Strategy Manager will assist the senior team leaders (e.g. AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy & Chief Strategy Officer) by supporting the AEV, SBU, and CSU strategy processes; introduce ideas and new approaches to setting AEV and SBU-level strategy and streamline the process over time, coordinate annual strategy exercise (in coordination with budgeting process) at assigned SBUs, facilitate ongoing strategy dialogue at AEV and SBU level.
  • Formulate Strategic Plans and Strategic Initiatives - The Strategy Manager will formulate strategic plans and initiatives by spotting changes/trends in the markets; assess the impact on AEV, SBUs and New Opportunities; develop/analyze options and responses of the changes in collaboration with SBUs and Key Stakeholders; develop/analyze new opportunities considered attractive by the CSO and BOD. The team leaders (e.g. AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy & Chief Strategy Officer) will assess and provide guidance structuring analysis and developing insights.
  • Support Strategy Execution - The Strategy Manager will assist the senior team leaders (e.g. AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy and Chief Strategy Officer) to facilitate SBUs and CSUs execution of strategy, put in place monitoring measures, including on “input metrics”, to drive performance and progress towards strategic goals, and create and manage business and organizational dashboards to track impact and effectiveness of strategy.
  • Manage, Review, and Structure Initiatives - The Strategy Manager will manage and review the initiatives developed by team members (e.g. Strategy Officer). The Strategy Manager will guide team members on how to structure initiatives to provide better insights, analysis, and decision points.
  • Review of Financial Models - The Strategy Manager will create and review financial models related to financial analysis, capital allocation, scenario planning, among others, generate insights from the data, and formulate recommendations.
  • Develop and Manage Special Projects - The Strategy Manager will develop Special Projects by conducting/developing/structuring analysis that provides insights; and present as needed to CST and AEV Leadership. The Strategy Manager will also manage and review Special Projects assigned to team members (e.g. Strategy Senior Analyst).

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting

Work Experience

At least 5 years of relevant work experience
