Job Mission/Purpose

The ICFG team’s purpose is to provide investment advice and deliver comprehensive financial analysis to our stakeholders across the Aboitiz Group. In addition, the ICFG team (1) executes investments, divestments, mergers and acquisitions in AEV; (2) creates, reviews, and updates investment policies and governance measures that apply to AEV and its strategic business units (“SBU”); (3) manages AEV’s Board and Management Investment Committees; (4) identifies and promotes best practices across AEV Group’s Investment Teams; and (5) provides support to AEV Group’s Investment Teams as required.

Responsibilities

  1. Transaction Execution: Lead the day-to-day execution of projects, such as investments and divestments of shares in companies or assets. Requires an ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders to complete projects.
  2. Financial and Valuation Analysis: Lead the project team in the financial, valuation, and returns analyses of proposed projects. Requires ensuring the effective conduct of research, challenging the validity of assumptions, evaluating the impact of deal structures & financing options, and preparing management reports and presentations.
  3. Development and Implementation of Group-wide Financial Policies: Assist in ensuring that group-wide financial policies relating to investments, divestments, mergers, acquisitions and material capex are developed and optimized in a timely manner.
  4. Development and Implementation of Best Practices: Assist in identifying and/or developing best practices across the Group that can be shared and institutionalized

Development and implementation of Group-wide financial policies

  • Accomplishment and presentation of findings on studies that will be used for determining policies, such as return requirements, cost of capital, and project evaluation guidelines 

  • Dissemination and implementation of agreed upon financial policies 

  • Timely documentation and release of investment committee meeting minutes, as well as monitoring of and reminders about outstanding action items

Development and implementation of best practices

  • Assist in the identification and organization of functional training opportunities for team members (e.g. modeling, valuation, etc.)

  • Assist in the documentation of SOPs and Best Practices that can be cascaded to other investment teams

  • Assist in deepening and strengthening collaboration with other CSUs and SBUs

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Financial Management

Work Experience

At least 9 years of relevant work experience
