Job Mission/Purpose

The Strategy Senior Analyst will be supporting the Team Leaders of the Corporate Strategy Team by providing ideas, information, problem structuring, and conducting analysis that is used in the development of the Portfolio and SBU-level Strategies of the Aboitiz Group.

Responsibilities

Run Strategy Process - The Strategy Senior Analyst will assist the team leaders (e.g. Strategy Manager, AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy & Chief Strategy Officer) in running the AEV, SBU, and CSU Strategy Processes; by ensuring all key requirements are ready and on-hand for the ensuing dialogues.

Formulate Strategic Plans and Strategic Initiatives - The Strategy Senior Analyst will formulate Strategic Plans and Strategic Initiatives by conducting research to spot changes/trends in the markets; assess the impact on AEV, SBUs and New Opportunities; develop/analyze options and responses to the changes in collaboration with SBUs and Key Stakeholders; develop/analyze/present new opportunities considered attractive by the CSO or BOD. The team leaders (e.g. Strategy Manager, AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy & Chief Strategy Officer) will assess and provide guidance structuring analysis and developing insights.

Support Strategy Execution - The Strategy Senior Analyst will assist the senior team leaders (e.g. AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy and Chief Strategy Officer) to facilitate SBUs and CSUs execution of strategy, put in place monitoring measures, including on “input metrics”, to drive performance and progress towards strategic goals, and create and update a business and organizational dashboard for impact and effectiveness.

Complete Assigned Initiatives - The Strategy Senior Analyst will size market opportunities, assess competitive situations, assess internal capabilities, assess the best way forward to capture opportunities, review Potential Transactions/JVs/Acquisition Opportunities, and present Initiatives to AEV leadership. The team leaders (e.g. Strategy Manager, AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy and/or Chief Strategy Officer) will help assess, refine and finalize the developed initiatives

Modelling of “Strategic Impact of Various Initiatives” - The Strategy Senior Analyst will model capital available, impact of strategic initiatives on SBUs, and impact of various market changes and trends to see the impact on Aboitiz Group's capital position and capital requirements. The VP for Strategy will review and assess the model.

Develop Special Projects - The Strategy Senior Analyst will handle specific projects related to Corporate Strategy where needed, at the Portfolio, SBU or CSU level, support review of investments from; Corporate Strategy perspective, capture innovations and new knowledge created internally, and share/present throughout the organization where relevant. The team leaders (e.g. Strategy Manager, AVP for Strategy, VP for Strategy and/or Chief Strategy Officer) will manage and review the outputs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics or Financial Management

Work Experience

At least 3 years of relevant work experience
