Responsibilities
RISK ENGINEERING
Coordinates with the BUs on the pre and post-work requirements of risk surveys; ensures that risk engineering surveys across BUs are properly done; reviews the survey reports, and recommendations; monitor survey recommendations and assists BUs in increasing competitive edge for insurance coverage; provides risk engineering updates to the Insurance Management Committee, BU ManCom, BU COOs, and Team Experts; provides assistance to BUs in terms of industry’s best practices to be applied in their respective operations to further improve BUs Risk Profile
INSURANCE MANAGEMENT
Designs and strategizes insurance programs based on identified risks for various existing properties, mergers & acquisitions, as well as green & brown field projects; coordinates with SBUs, BUs, CSUs, brokers and/or insurers, to facilitate processing of insurance policies and claims and ensure collection of insurance claims; coordinates the payment of premiums of the BUs within the agreed credit term; manages and consolidates the organization’s claims data into one central repository; ensures that all reported claims are filed.
REPORT GENERATION AND POLICY MANAGEMENT
Prepares and generates management reports as needed by the AVP - Risk Management, IMC, RMC, SBUs, BUs, CSUs; manages the entire portfolio of policies across the Aboitiz Group; facilitates the communication of the risk registers among all levels of the organization in accordance with AEV Enterprise Risk Management framework and principles; identifies, assesses, and treats different risks in BUs and ensures that proper risk financing strategies are instituted to manage the identified risks.
PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT
Guides in the development and implementation of project risk management for projects in compliance to the commitments of the SBU/BUs and corporate initiatives; ensures attainment of objectives within the given resources and timeframe; applies project management concepts, principles, and processes and guides SBU/BU Project Teams in the development and review of project risk management plans; reviews and challenges risk assumptions of Project Teams from different perspectives and monitors/ensures execution of risk strategies and action.
